Embarrassing footage of Florida Panthers watch party surface, showing it might not be a great idea to ban Canadians from buying tickets
The Florida Panthers made the decision to ban all Canadian fans from having the ability to purchase tickets to Panthers home games. The idea behind this was to prevent Maple Leafs fans from trying to takeover their building, a problem most teams face. However after recent footage of a Panthers watch party surfaced, questions about this decision began to be raised.
After Game 1 the Panthers shared this video on their Twitter account showing off the "Watch Party Vibes". The only problem is there are more people in line for the women's restroom at any time at Scotiabank Arena, then there are in this entire video.
While it's always great to see passionate fans, but Edmonton and Toronto have seen thousands of fans in attendance at their outdoor watch parties, in far less favorable weather. The decision to ban Canadians from buying tickets could certainly come back and haunt the Panthers. Especially with F1 Miami happening the same weekend.
Fans were quick to let the Panthers know their thoughts about their watch party.
Either way Game 2 goes tonight in Toronto while Game 3 goes Sunday in Florida and YES there are still tickets available.
