Jacob Trouba catches Timo Meier with his head down
When the New Jersey Devils acquired Timo Meier they had high hopes for him. Unfortunately since joining the Devils he has been far from as advertised. So far this series Meier has been held off the score sheet, but now Meier has finally entered the highlight reel.
Unfortunately for Meier though he became a highlight reel for all the wrong reasons. With New Jersey on the powerplay Meier made the mistake of crossing the Rangers blueline with his head down. Like so many others he became a victim of Trouba.
The referees made the right decision and issued no penalty while Meier was taken to the quiet room.
