Luke Schenn shares how many stitches he needed after fighting Tanner Jeannot
During the 3rd period of Game 2 between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Toronto Maple Leafs, the Lightning attempted to physical impose their will on the Leafs. Unlike previous seasons however, the Maple Leafs are better prepared to fight back against the Lightning. Something that could play a factor in a long series.
With the score 6-1 Tanner Jeannot tried to force Luke Schenn into a physical altercation. After refusing off the faceoff Schenn accepted the fight and the two exchanged massive shots back and forth. The fight left both men slightly worse for the wear. Schenn was left leaking blood, while Jeannot could clearly be seen nursing an injured hand.
The fight was easily the best tilt of the playoffs to date.
Today Schenn opened up about the fight and how he needed 7 stitches to close the wound in his head after the fight. When asked further about the fight Schenn simply shared
He knows what he's doing.
Game 3 in the series goes tonight in Tampa Bay.
