NHL Department of Player Safety make their decision on Tomas Nosek hit on Eric Staal
During last night's game between the Boston Bruins and Florida Panthers, Tomas Nosek delivered a questionable elbow to the head of Eric Staal. The hit sent the Panthers into a frenzy and even had the referees finish the game by running time off the clock without the teams playing.
It has become customary for the NHL Department of Player Safety to announce any fines or hearings before noon the following morning. Now with 5 pm at the NHL offices right around the corner it appears that the Department has made their decision and WILL NOT by issuing any discipline for Nosek.
This decision hasn't sat well with many fans, especially just one day after Michael Bunting was suspended 3 playoff games for a hit to the head of Erik Cernak. All fans really want is some form of consistency and that's something George Parros has failed to provide.
