The Vegas Golden Knights start a new tradition with the Stanley Cup
The Vegas Golden Knights are revelling in their Stanley Cup win as a a team does. After all winning the Stanley Cup in the National Hockey League is widely regarded as the hardest trophy to win in all of professional sports and they may have just started a new tradition with lord Stanley.
According to Phillip Pritchard, the keeper of the Cup for the Hockey Hall of Fame, the Knights will have the Cup engraved before they have their days with it; take a look.
It's official! The @GoldenKnights are getting the #stanleycup engraved prior to the players' day with the Cup. 1st team to do so! Hopefully, a tradition has begun! @HockeyHallFame @NHL
The Golden Knights are the first team in NHL history to have the Cup engraved before they have the team has their days with it.
I'll be honest, I thought this was the first thing most teams would do before anything else, but it's awesome to see the Knights do things a little bit differently. Tradition in hockey is long-standing and sometimes you need a team to go about things a little bit differently.
