Wes McCauley accused of doing the NHL's bidding as he blows whistle for no reason to stop Panthers from scoring
There's been a line of thinking by some who think the National Hockey League is rigged and after this instance between the Vegas Golden Knights and Florida Panthers in game 4.
A phantom whistle has fans angry as the Panthers had the pressure in the Vegas zone and the whistle goes for no reason, blowing the play dead, take a look:
Watch this and tell me the NHL isn't rigged
You know it's bad when both fans and the announcers in the clip above say there was no reason for a whistle to go. phantom whistles are nothing new, but when Florida appears to be seconds away from tying the game so Vegas holds on for the win, there's no way anyone should think the NHL isn't rigged.
Between this and the fact that the officiating has been glaringly lopsided towards Vegas I think everyone has a right to be pissed. Fans wouldn't be so angry if the favouritism wasn't so obviously, but it's been clear for a long time, there are some teams the NHL likes and others they don't.
It's been clear since game 1, the league favours Vegas and now, they're only one win away from away from the Stanley Cup.
