The National Hockey League playoffs are for my underway, and with that comes a different brand of hockey, especially this year.
With game 4 between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Toronto Maple Leafs underway, the Leaf parade to the penalty box continues. Take a look:
Early in the first period, after a Brandon Hagel penalty shot and a Toronto powerplay, Leaf forward William Nylander slewfoots Lightning captain Steven Stamkos and is called for tripping on the play.
Not only is this a dangerous play, but it's 200 feet from their own net. That penalty was not only one of the most needless penalties of the series but one that leads to the opening goal of the game.
Leave it to the Leafs to find a say to kill any momentum they might've had going into game 4 early.
