BREAKING - Dallas Stars trade pending RFA forward to Colorado Avalanche
The Dallas Stars announced on Thursday that they've traded the rights to pending restricted free agent forward Fredrik Olofsson to the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for future considerations.
Olofsson, 27, was originally drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in 2014 but never played for them and went on to play in the NCAA before returning home to Sweden. He finally came back over to North America in 2022, signing a one-year deal with the Stars.
In 28 games for the Stars this season, the Helsingborg native had four points (one goal, three assists), two penalty minutes and had an even-rating. He also appearing in two Stanley Cup Playoff games, but didn't record any points.
Olofsson also spent some time with the Texas Stars in the American Hockey League this season, putting up 14 points (five goals, nine assists) in 37 games.
Update: Olofsqson has signed a one-year deal with Colorado.
