While a lot of things are still up in the air for the Boston Bruins, it's clear the team is going to look vastly different next season. That's no surprise for many, as last season always seemed like the teams last chance as a group. With rumors of the retirement of Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci, the Bruins will certainly be in need of a new center.

But with limited resources the Bruins will likely need to get creative. One of the best options available on the market is Mark Scheifele. Scheifele has already informed the Winnipeg Jets he has no intention of signing an extension with the team and would more than welcome a trade.

According to Elliotte Friedman the Bruins are more than interested in Scheifele.

The one team I wonder about for centres is Boston, they could have a situation next year where they don't have Bergeron and they don't have Krejci... and I think they kind of like Scheifele's profile.

The Jets could have interest in a deal with the Bruins, especially if Linus Ullmark or Jeremy Swayman were involved. With Connor Helleybuck also seeking a trade the Jets could find a solution in goal in any deal with the Bruins.

Only time will tell which route the Bruins will go, but it is expected that the team will be very active working the phones.
