Colorado Avalanche and Nashville Predators make a trade involving a former 30 goal scorer
The NHL Draft is scheduled for next week and most teams are expected to be active on the trade market. Today the Nashville Predators and Colorado Avalanche got a jump on things announcing a trade.
The Predators send former 30 goal scorer to the Avs for Alex Galchenyuk who they could allow to walk in free agency of sign to a new contract.
#preds have traded Ryan Johansen to #Avs and retained 50 percent of his salary in exchange for rights to Alex Galchenyuk.
The Avalanche will only be on the hook for a 4 million salary for Johansen for the next two years. This move fills a hole left by the major injury to Gabriel Landeskog.
