Breaking News - Vancouver Canucks trade former 1st round pick to the New Jersey Devils
The Vancouver Canucks haven't been as active as most people expected ahead of today's NHL Trade Deadline. But ahead of the 3 pm deadline, the Canucks have made a move sending former 1st round pick Curtis Lazar to the New Jersey Devils.
NJD acquire Curtis Lazar from Canucks.
The expected return for the Canucks is rumored to be a 4th round pick. Lazar has 2 years remaining on his deal with a cap hit of $1,000,000.
This move adds more depth to the Devils team who are preparing for a playoff series against the New York Rangers.
In 45 games this season Lazar has 3 goals and 2 assists for 5 points. Lazar was the 17th overall pick in the 2013 NHL Draft by the Ottawa Senators.
