Tampa Bay Lightning surprise everyone and trade Patrick Maroon to the Western Conference
Patrick Maroon has 3 Stanley Cup rings and has been an integral part of the Tampa Bay Lightning for the last 4 seasons. Up until this summer Maroon had made up 2/3 of the Lightning's 4th line with Corey Perry.
Today however Maroon's time in Tampa Bay came to a surprising end. Maroon had made up 2/3 of the Lightning's 4th line with Corey Perry. Tonight it was announced the Lightning had traded Maroon to the Minnesota Wild.
#MNWild has acquired Patrick Maroon (20% retained) and Maxim Cajkovic from the #GoBolts for a 2024 7th round pick
This move provides some great value for the Wild who are tight against the salary cap.
