Flames reportedly trade Chris Tanev to Western Conference team
Calgary Flames defenceman Chris Tanev's time in Alberta has come to an end after multiple weeks of rumours swirling regarding his availability.
According to Pierre LeBrun of TSN, the Calgary Flames are trading Chris Tanev to the Dallas Stars, pending a trade call with the National Hockey League.
"Trade call still pending but hearing Chris Tanev is being traded to Dallas" Pierre LeBrun said.
Tanev, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, has appeared in 56 games this season for the Calgary Flames where he's put up 14 points (one goal, 13 assists), 14 penalty minutes and is a plus-16.
