Insider reveals Mitch Marner has list of four teams he'd accept trade for
Insider David Pagnotta has revealed a list of four teams that Mitch Marner would reportedly agree to be traded to from the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have tried to keep information close to the vest. Yesterday general manager Brad Treliving gave an interview trying to pour cold water on some of the rumors surrounding his team. However, one rumor that will not quit is the idea that the Maple Leafs will finally try to move on. From, Mitch Marner.
Earlier this week and unsubstantiated rumor surfaced that the Leafs were close to a deal with the Utah Hockey Club to potentially send Marner to Utah. While reports have indicated this rumor is not true. Other connections will not quit. Today David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period shared some updated information.
According to Pagnotta, Marner has informed the team of four locations he would be willing to accept a trade to.
»I believe there are four teams he would go to. I believe there are a few moreif they are going to try and do this, they are going to try and maximize the value as much as they can (regarding paying signing bonus/signing extension)I think Vegas would be a team he would go to, I think Dallas would be, I think Chicago would be - I don't know how Chicago would work, I don't see a fit there, and I think there is Nashville and a few more he would consider.»
According to Pagnotta the list of teams Marner may accept a trade to, but for the Maple Leafs, the most difficult situation will be finding a team with assets and the cap space willing to take on the deal. The next 5 days will likely be extremely busy and it'll be interesting to see which direction the Leafs move with Mitch Marner.
