The Winnipeg Jets have a tough situations on their hands with one of their top prospects, Rutger McGroarty. He doesn't want to play for the team unless he is assured minutes in the NHL. as such, his name has come up more than once in trade speculation and rumours.
Now, according to NHL Trade Rumor, there's a possibility McGroarty gets dealt to the Calgary Flames in exchange for defender, Rasmus Andersson.
The thing with Rutger McGroarty is, he may be a top prospect, but having yet to play in the National Hockey League, he shouldn't be able to force himself out of an organization to be assured playing time right out of the gate.
If this offer is actually on the table, it would give the Jets a top 4 defender while getting rid of a headache of a prospect.
This should be a no brainer for the Jets to accept this deal, it would make them instantly better on the back end of Calgary is willing to part with Andersson.
Do you think this trade makes sense for both sides? It's certainly something for them to think about, we'll have to see where this goes.
