Trevor Zegras has fallen out of favour with the Anaheim Ducks, that much is clear. His name has been running rampant in trade rumours for some time and with that, comes trade that have not been completed.
According NHL Trade Rumours, the trade that would've sent Zegras to the Montreal Canadiens has been revealed. To be honest, I can see why it never actually happened.
The trade that was on the table would've sent Trevor Zegras and the Ducks 2nd round pick to the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for prospect Logan Mailloux as well as Montreal's 1st round pick.
This trade hinged on supposed trade value as Mailloux hasn't been able to crack the NHL to this point his career, but the trade would've seen a swap of young hockey players, who's ceilings aren't yet realized at the sports highest level.
If this trade would've gone through, it would've been interesting to see how and if the change of scenery would've benefited both players and teams.
