Tyler Toffoli traded
As the trade deadline draws near, many names have already come off the board, but there are plenty still available that would be useful to contending teams down the stretch drive and into the playoffs. One of those names of course is veteran forward Tyler Toffoli and now we know where he'll end up.
According to Darren Dreger insider of TSN, the New Jersey Devils have trade Toffoli to Winnipeg Jets, take a look.
Toffoli, 31, has skated in 61 games for the Devils this season and has scored 26 goals and 18 assists for a total of 42 points on a New Jersey team many thought would be very, very good but have not lived up to the hype this season.
Winnipeg should be very happy to get a player like Toffoli who can still play a top 6 role really well. Not only that, but he's won the cup before so he adds a winning pedigree to the Jets.
We'll see how this plays out, but no matter the price Winnipeg added some much needed experience and scoring to their roster if you ask me.
