Yaroslav Askarov was a highly touted goaltending prospects when he was drafted by the Nashville predators, but things just haven't worked out. After a trade request made public it seems that teams are now circling the wagon trying to see if they can acquire what men believe to still be a blue chip prospect. Insider gives update on Yaroslav Askarov's situation with Nashville Predators
According to NHL trade Rumors, the Chicago Blackhawks are one team that is looking to acquire the prospect who is only played in three NHL games so far in his career.
The question remains though what is the price going to be to get Azarov out from Nashville? The Nashville predators still see Askarov as their number one goaltending prospect in the organization, so parting ways with him will certainly come at a price.
However, if one team has the pieces to make a trade work, it would be the Chicago Blackhawks. They're young team with a lot of potential but have a lot of prospects that probably won't see the light of day in the NHL at least not right now. As such, the Blackhawks would be one of the teams that could put together an enticing package for the 2020 early first round pick.
One thing is clear when a trade request is made public, there's not a lot of chance for going backwards on it.
