Sometimes in the game of hockey, your emotions get the better of you, but one would expect as you get up the ranks of pro hockey, you learn how to control your emotions better.
That wasn't the case for former Toronto Maple Leafs and Nashville Predators goaltender Kasimir Kaskisuo, now playing for Leksands of the SHL, who lost his cool during a game on Thursday, throwing a water bottle and hitting a referee in the back, take a look:
Kaskisuo, has been handed a 5 game suspension and will miss the last three games of Leksands regular season and the first two games of the SHL playoffs.
After an obvious too many men on the ice and/or offside in the same situation, I let in a cheap goal and we lose heavily whereupon my emotions and frustration take over, said Kaskisuo in a statement. As an athlete at the highest level, I should handle the situation differently. In this case I didn't and I am very sorry for that and I am ashamed. I apologize to the referee, my teammates, the club and the fans.
Kaskisuo played parts of 5 seasons in North America before going to the SHL to start the 21-22 season
