A few days ago, a video surfaced showing an incomprehensible assault on an Ontario golf course. In the video, a man runs across the green of a golf course maniacally wielding his club, and forcefully strikes a man standing nearby with the club.

The video is shocking, seeing the man sprint across the green threatening to kill a man, before eventually striking a random bystander out of anger.

Now according to new reports from the Sault St. Marie Police Department, the person in the video is former OHL player Joel Sandie. Between 1990-1993, Sandie played for the Kingston Frontenacs, Cornwall Royals, Sudbury Wolves, and the London Knights.

After his career in hockey failed to translate to the professional level, posting just one goal and ten assists in a three year span, Sandie has moved away from hockey, and is now a real estate agent in Sault St. Marie. Now, the process of justice begins, as Sandie had been charged with assault with a weapon on September 18th, and will now have defend himself in the video in court.
