Jack Edwards is one of the most recognizable voices in the sport of hockey. Doesn't matter if you love him or hate him, he's been with the Boston Bruins as their play by play announcer for a really long time. Just like every announcer though, their time does come and it looks like Edwards time is coming to an end.
According to numerous Bruins fans on Twitter, this latest troubling performance has many calling for Edwards to be replaced.
It sounds like something may be seriously wrong with how laboured his speech has become during games. Many fans still love him, but many want his career to end on a high. Having him continue like this doesn't seem fair.
Whatever the case is, I hope the Bruins organization does right by him and makes this transition, whenever that time does come as smooth as possible
