Minnesota Wild forward suffers heartbreaking injury after returning from 3 knee surgeries
Injuries are a part of the game of hockey, unfortunately even if you try to protect yourself at all times, there's risk every time you step out onto the ice. Even more so for players that play in the National Hockey League.
Last night, when the Minnesota Wild took on the Vegas Golden Knights, a Wild forward when awkwardly into the boards and was unable to get up without assistance, take a look:
Just under 5 minutes into the game, Minnesota's Mason Shaw goes down with an apparent let injury, he's than not able to put any weight on that let as he makes his way off the ice.
Shaw, 24, has had three knee surgeries in the past, making his way back from each one to be able to play for the Wild.
In 59 games this season he has 7 goals and 10 assists for a total of 17 points.
A leg injury like this would be heartbreaking for any player, but in Shaw's case, you feel for him that much more because of what he's had to overcome to be able to play in the NHL.
here's to hoping it's not too serious and he's able to come back and play before too long
