Sometimes the game of hockey can bring friends to foes. One year people can be teammates, the next adversaries. Especially as you get up the ranks of professional hockey.
As is the case with Arizona Coyotes Liam O'Brien and New Jersey Devils Timo Meier, who were one teammates in junior playing 3 seasons together with the Halifax Mooseheads.
Tonight, the Coyotes are taking on the Devils and O'Brien didn't hold back while chirping Meier caught on a hot mic, take a look:
You probably didn't bang a single girl in Halifax... you're so f****** ugly
This of course, alluding to their teenage years, where hockey players are known to have a way with women.
It just goes to show you, in hockey, someone who, at one time you were probably pretty close friends with can turn into your enemy. If I'm Meier, the personal connection is what makes this chirp so effective.
