The Ottawa Senators are in Chicago go face the Blackhawks tonight, not long after the trade deadline. It seems the injury bug has bitten the Senators as they are down a goaltender.

According to TSN 1200, Cam Talbot was a late scratch as he's dealing with a lower body injury. A familiar face is serving as the emergency backup tonight, take a look:

Cam Talbot is a very late scratch with a minor LB ailment. Kevin Mandolese has been called up but is unlikely to make it in time for the start of the game. Scott Foster is the Emergency Backup Goaltender (EBUG) in Chicago and will dress for Ottawa if need be.

Talbot, 35, has struggled with spurts of injury trouble this season, playing on 32 games for the Senators compiling a record of 15-14-1 with 1 shutout, a 2.85 goals against average and a .905 save percentage.

Foster, a legend in Chicago has suited up for 1 NHL game back in 2018, making 7 saves and collecting the win against the Winnipeg Jets.

Let's hope Foster doesn't have to be pushed into action for the Ottawa Senators tonight.
