Milan Lucic wife makes major decision after domestic violence claim
Milan Lucic's wife has decided she wants out of their relationship, and has filed for divorce a few months after charges of domestic violence that were dropped.
It hasn't been long since charges of domestic violence against MIlan Lucic of the Boston Bruins were dropped after his wife refused to testify against him. Now, Brittany Lucic has filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences." A report by the New York Post says the papers were filed on Monday.
"The couple tied the knot on July, 19, 2012 and on the papers, according to the court records, Brittany listed their date of separation as Nov. 17, 2023, which is the day before Milan was arrested for allegedly physically abusing his wife during a fight."
Charges against Lucic were dropped in February after Brittany told the court she would not testify against her husband. She has asked for full custody of the couple's three children in her divorce filing.
"In the documents for divorce, Brittany asked for custody of their three children two daughters and a son and spousal support from Milan.
Their oldest daughter, Valentina, was born in 2013 followed by their second daughter, Nikolina, in 2015. They welcomed their son, Milan Jr., in 2018."
Lucic had signed a one-year deal with the Boston Bruins before the 2023-24 season began, marking a homecoming to the team he started his NHL career with. The 35-year-old played in just four games before it was announced that he was taking an indefinite leave of absence. He becomes a free agent again this summer.
