Sam Bennett Beats Up Hampus Lindholm
Hampus Lindholm Picks The Wrong Opponent For First Career Fight as he drops the gloves with Sam Bennett
The Florida Panthers are hosting the Boston Bruins tonight in a battle for the top of the Atlantic division. This game had a playoff atmosphere right from puck drop, with both teams being extremely physical.
With the score 2-1 Florida in the second period, Bruins defenceman Hampus Lindholm made a grave mistake by getting mixed up with well known agitator Sam Bennett. While both players were tied up, Lindholm through the first punch striking Bennett in the face. It was on then, with Bennett feeding Lindholm with punches, the Swedish defenceman was hanging on as they fell to the ice. Both players were assessed a five minute major for fighting.
In Lindholm's eleven season career, he has never been in a fight. He sure picked a tough opponent for his first one. After the beating he received there's a good chance it will be his last.
