A pair of Calgary Flames defencemen are drawing interest around the National Hockey League, including from the New Jersey Devils.

We're nearly two months away from the National Hockey League's trade deadline for the 2023-24 season which is set for 3 p.m. ET on Friday, March 8th.

Trade talks are expected to pick up around the league in the coming weeks and one team to keep an eye on is the Calgary Flames, who have some prominent unrestricted free agents that could be on the move.

According to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, talks have picked up regarding defencemen on the Calgary Flames, including Noah Hanifin and Chris Tanev. Pagnotta also reported that the New Jersey Devils are among the teams that are interested in both Hanifin and Tanev.

Other names mentioned by David Pagnotta that could be dealt before March 8th are Dennis Gilbert, Jordan Oesterle and Nick DeSimone.

Hanifin, 26, has appeared in 37 games for the Flames this season where he's recorded 17 points (five goals, 12 assists), 12 penalty minutes and is a plus-two. Meanwhile, Tanev, a native of Toronto, has put up seven points in 34 games.
