The Toronto Maple Leafs are in need of a goalie desperately, what general manager Brad Treliving is doing won't help them get one.

As a result of Illya Samsonov being put on waivers, the Toronto Maple Leafs are now resorting to a 3rd string goalie in Martin Jones and a call-up, Dennis Hildeby.

As Brad Treliving tried to make some deals, the offers he had weren't going over well across the league.

NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman speculates Brad Treliving made several offers to teams around the league.

Elliotte Friedman speculates that Toronto Maple Leafs' GM Brad Treliving offered several teams a sixth-round draft pick for a goalie, to which every team declined. He reportedly hoped a team would be desperate to move one

Luke Fox of Sportsnet speculates that Dan Vladar (Flames), Jake Allen (Canadiens), Eric Comrie (Sabres), & Anton Forsberg (Senators) were amongst the goalies Treliving targeted.

He pitched a meager 6th-round pick for goalies like Jake Allen from the Montreal Canadiens, Daniel Vladar from the Calgary Flames, Eric Comrie from the Buffalo Sabres, and Anton Forsberg from the Ottawa Senators.

In the meantime, Illya Samsonov will rot in AHL hell while he tries to regain his composure and find his game.

Samsonov has posted a 5-2-6 record this season, with a.862 save percentage and a 394 GAA.

Treliving needs to solve this issue as soon as possible if the team is to be a contender this year.
