The Boston Bruins and Carolina Hurricanes met at TD Garden on Tuesday night in what could eventually be a preview of this year's Eastern Conference Final, should both teams advance that far.

During the game, Carolina Hurricanes forward Andrei Svechnikov pulled off 'The Michigan', a move he's done a few times throughout his National Hockey League career thus far. It had to be reviewed by the officials, but after, was determined that the puck did cross the goal line, giving Svechnikov his 19th of the season.

"Andrei Svechnikov with the Michigan 🔥"

During the intermission, Andrei Svechnikov spoke on Bally Sports: Canes about his goal, saying that he wished he celebrated in a more fun way, but no one on the ice knew that the puck went in.

"I got behind the net and I'm always saying I'm going to try the move. I wish I could have celebrated in a bit more of a fun way, but no one realized it was a goal, I guess it was just me." Svechnikov said.

Svechnikov and the Hurricanes would go on to win the game in Boston by a score of 4 to 1, keeping their hopes at winning the Metropolitan Division alive, thanks to the New York Islanders' victory over the New York Rangers. The Hurricanes sit three points back of the Rangers for the division lead, with both teams having three games left.
