Sometimes even professional athletes lose their cool causing them to lash out and let their frustrations get the best of them. Last night, Blackhawks goalie Alex Stalock did just that.
After the Dallas Stars scored a short handed goal, Stars' forward Luke Glendening continued his path to the net and knocked over Stalock, who hit the ice with force. It was ruled a good goal, with no goaltender interference on the play, which set off Stalock.
Between whistles and as the play moved up-ice shortly after the goal, it's clear that Stalock is jawing with the referees about the earlier alleged missed call.
During the TV timeout, Stalock even followed around the referees, likely berating them for the missed call.
It's another confusing case of goaltender interference in the NHL, continuing one of the league's worst problems in inconsistent application of the rules.
