Chicago Blackhawks forward Connor Bedard scores major sponsorship deal
Chicago Blackhawks forward Connor Bedard has landed a sponsorship deal with a pretty big company.
It's been a pretty crazy 12+ months for Chicago Blackhawks forward Connor Bedard since being selected first overall in last year's NHL Entry Draft. In a little over a year since he was drafted, the North Vancouver native has done quite a bit, from appearing in his first season in the NHL to landing several sponsorship deals and recently, has signed a new one with one of the leading sports drink brands in the world - Gatorade.
In a press release last week, Bedard shared that he's grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Gatorade family, who's roster of athletes include Sidney Crosby, Marie-Philip Poulin and Hayley Wickenheiser.
"I'm proud to join the Gatorade family and grateful for the opportunity to be a part of a team that helps fuel some of the best athletes in the world," Bedard said. "Like so many kids who grew up playing hockey, Gatorade has been a part of my journey from day one. Gatorade is committed to excellence and is passionate about sports at all levels I am really looking forward to working together."
Gatorade is just one of a number of sponsorship deals Connor Bedard has landed in the last 12 months. Other deals include Hyundai, CIBC, Lululemon, BioSteel and Sherwood.
With Bedard already having one season in the National Hockey League under his belt, he's looking to play an even bigger role this season with the Blackhawks and hopes to lead them back to the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2020.
