J.T. Miller Breaks Silence and Makes his Feelings Extremely Clear After Being Dealt to the Rangers
J.T. Miller broke his silence and made his feelings extremely clear after being traded to the New York Rangers.
In his first game back with the New York Rangers since being traded for Filip Chytil, Victor Mancini and a draft pick, the former Vancouver Canucks forward J.T. Miller didn't waste time to help his new team.
Indeed, he scored a great goal in his first game against the Boston Bruins yesterday:
It hasn't been easy for Miller in Vancouver this past year, and a fresh start will help him bounce back on the ice.
What better place than the city that drafted him 15th overall back in 2011?
Miller opened up about what led to that trade, including the reasons why he didn't mind waiving his no-trade clause to join the Rangers, in a recent interview.
He notably talked about the fact that for him and his family, there were a lot of reasons to accept the trade, even outside the ice. He aslo raised the point that the Rangers have been among the best teams in the league for the past years, and it eager to trying to help his new team bounce back after a tough start.
In his own words:
"I would say it took a team effort to find a different place but obviously New York is a special place and couldn't be happier to be here now.
Just for my family, even outside of hockey, there, there were 1,000 reasons to want to come here with the hockey team that has been one of the best teams in the league for three or four years in a row.
I'm excited to be a part of it, trying to get back into the playoff picture."
Miller and the Rangers will be back on the ice on Sunday to face the Vegas Golden Knights. Fans hope he will bring the same contribution for his second game in New York.
