Insider reveals 'incident' which led to Avalanche player leaving team during the middle of the night with security
When the announcement came that Valeri Nichushkin had left the Colorado Avalanche during the middle of the night accompanied by a security team, fans were surprised and concerned. Since the announcement no one within the Avalanche organization has commented on Nichushkin or his status with the club. The loss has left a gaping hole in the Avalanche lineup and allowed the Seattle Kraken to tie up their 1st round series.
Yesterday Insider revealed that he had been told that Nichushkin would not be returning to the team anytime soon.

Today the plot thickened as Insider Frank Seravalli shared that Nichushkin was actually involved in an incident before leaving the hotel with security.
Seravalli saying there was an alcohol related incident with Valeri Nichushkin at the hotel.

There have been no reports or information made available about Nichushkin entering the Players Assistance Program or receiving discipline from the team. But this could be a serious distraction for the team.
Nichushkin has 7-years remaining on his contract with the Avalanche so whatever this situation is, it will need to be handled by all parties involved.
