But another off-season league is gaining a lot of attention over the last little while mainly because of 2023 projected first overall pick Connor Bedard. Bedard plays in a roller hockey league in British Columbia during the summer and this year, his team is STACKED, to say the least with Blue Jackets forward Kent Johnson and 2023 draft prospect Andrew Cristall on the roster.
During a recent game, Bedard's team, 'Great Guys', went to overtime tied at 10-10 and Kent Johnson decided it was time to end the game, pulling off 'The Michigan' by faking out the defenders behind the net.
Johnson finished the game with eight points (four goals, four assists), while Bedard had seven points (one goal, six assists) and Cristall recorded two goals.
