NHL makes important announcement including all off-season dates and deadlines
The NHL offseason is made up of a lot of important dates and times for teams. With dates already announced for both free agency and the NHL Draft, the league finally released the full list of offseason dates.
The first important date of this summer is June 1st, when all contract offers are due for previous year draft picks. Any player not tendered a contract will become eligible to either re-enter the draft depending on age or become free agents.
The second important date is June 15th when the first buyout window opens for teams to buyout players contracts. Between June 18th and 29th the league will finally announce the new salary cap number for next season.
