Connor McDavid scores arguably the nicest goal of his playoff career
The Edmonton Oilers lead the Dallas Stars three games too two heading into game six of the Western Conference final, but don't tell Connor McDavid that as McJesus hasn't bothered to slow down appreciating that Sunday night he and the Oilers could book their first ticket to the Stanley Cup final in the Connor McDavid era.
Less than five minutes into the first period as the Oilers were pressing McDavid walked in past a couple of Dallas Stars making them look foolish and roofing a backhand past Stars goaltender Jake Oettinger to make the score 1-0.
While the goal itself was important it pales in comparison to how nice it was. By all accounts the goal could be described as the nicest goal that McDavid has scored during his entire playoff career.
While the game is still early, this could be a precursor of what to expect this evening and if thats the case, expect the Oilers to book a first class flight right into the 2023-2024 Stanley Cup final.
