The Edmonton Oilers are in the final 24 hours of their decision period when it comes to the offer sheets for Dylan Holloway and Philip Broberg. Last Tuesday morning news surfaced that the St. Louis Blues had tenderee offer sheets to both Dylan Holloway and Philip Broberg. The rare offer sheet came to a surprise of many, including the Edmonton Oilers.
The offer sheet came with a 7 day window for the Oilers to decide whether to match or accept the compensation attached to the deals. The St. Louis Blues' X account pointed out today that the deadline was in fact looming.
While the Oilers have yet to officially announce their decision, Jesse Courville Lynch, owner of The Mug on Instagram , the Oilers may have accidentally leaked their decision on the team's oficial website.
While this message doesn't confirm the players departure, it does create some intriguing. This intrigue is enhanced by the fact that according to Courville Lynch, the two were in fact on the page this morning.
It is worth noting that players such as Moritz Seider, Thomas Harley and other unsigned restricted free agents aren't currently listed on their team's roster pages. This situation is only highlighted by the timing of the players removal from their roster pages. Within the next 16 hours we should all know the Oilers' final answer.
