Evan Rodrigues Signs Multi-Year Deal with the Florida Panthers
The Florida Panthers added to their depth today by signing Evan Rodrigues to a long-term deal. The 29-year-old forward has been given four years, with a cap hit of $3 million per season.
Rodrigues will receive the minimum salary of 775K per season, while the rest of it comes in the form of a signing bonus of $3.2 million every July 1st for the length of the deal.
Rodrigues broke into the NHL with the Buffalo Sabres out of the US College Hockey system. The native of Toronto also played three seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins before signing a one-year deal with the Colorado Avalanche for 2022-23. If he can stay healthy, Rodrigues should be able to add 30 to 40 points consistently for Florida.
