Panthers Oliver Ekman-Larssen hit from behind by Oilers Adam Henrique
You would have to literally live under a rock for you not to believe that the Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers were chomping at the bit to get going on game one of the Stanley Cup final and although early it has not disappointed.
Oilers Adam Henrique who is competing in his second Stanley Cup final and first since very early on in his career nailed Panthers Oliver Ekman-Larrsen from behind which resulted in him being bloodied forcing him to leave the ice for repairs.
While OEL returned to the game after leaving for a short period of time, the play that caused him to be bloodied proves that anything can happen during the Stanley Cup final and you need to always have your head on a swivel. While the lack of a call on the play should be called into question, the referees have a difficult time as it is to make sure each team plays the straight and narrow.
Again, it's still quite early into game one, but if the first ten minutes are any indication about how the series will go, the fans are in for an absolutely fantastic Stanley Cup final.
