Minnesota Wild goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury gave a disappointing answer to a question many fans have been asking recently.

As we approach the end of Marc-Andre Fleury's career fans have been reflecting on their favorite memories of him.

He has become one of the most beloved players in the league thanks to his longevity and bright personality, which makes him stand out in a league known for players who lead more private lives.

For example, he is well-known for pulling pranks on his teammates.

This season he pulled off one of his best pranks yet as he pretended to join the Wild ice crew during a preseason game he wasn't playing in.

Needless to say, Fleury can do it all. From giving good interviews to pulling off silly pranks, from making clutch saves to winning Stanley cups, he has been there and done that.

One thing he has never pulled off though is the super rare goalie goal.

He will forever be jealous of his goalie partner Filip Gustavsson who scored one earlier this season.

After over 1000 games in the NHL, Fleury is running out of chances to accomplish the feat.

The Wild have just 39 games left on their schedule this season, and who knows how many of those Fleury will get the net for?

For fans wondering if maybe he could play one more season to give himself another shot at it, don't get your hopes up.

He was asked this very question today and he answered very honestly.

"No chance. I can't be doing this every year, 'Oh, one more, one more.'"

And so this truly is the final year of the great goalie's career.

If he scores a goal this season good for him, but if not hopefully it won't bother him too much in retirement.

Perhaps a quick induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame will help take his mind of off it.
