Mark Giordano shows incredible sportsmanship in classy gesture to Nick Suzuki
When it comes to rivalries in sports the Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens are one of the oldest rivalries. The two teams don't like each other and that is clear every single time the two teams face off. On Saturday night the two teams faced off in the most recent clash.
The Maple Leafs would win the game 7-1, and as per usual tempers flared between the two teams. During the game Wayne Simmonds and Michael Pezzetta dropped the gloves for a thrilling fight. But it was a play by Mark Giordano that caught the camera and fans attention.
During the game Mark Giordano collided with Montreal Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki. As they collided Suzuki's stick becomes dislodged from his hand and ends up in the hands of Giordano. Rather than discarding the stick Giordano waits for Suzuki to get back to his feet and hands the stick directly to him.
In a day and age where players seem to have less and less respect for each other, it's great to see a player like Giordano show this kind of class.
