Nic Deslauriers and AJ Greer drop the gloves for a heavyweight matchup
The Philadelphia Flyers faced off against the Boston Bruins yesterday in Sunday afternoon action. The Flyers were trying to prevent becoming the answer to a trivia question, as the team the Bruins beat to set the NHL record for wins. Unfortunately for Philly despite their best efforts they fell to the Bruins 5-3.
With the Bruins leading the game 4-2, Nic Deslauriers decided he needed to give his team a spark. The heavyweight decided to drop the gloves with Bruins forward AJ Greer. The two had a spirited tilt that sparked the Flyers.
Owen Tippett would score less than a minute later, bringing the Flyers within 1 goal. Unfortunately that was as close as they'd get losing 5-3. Both Greer and Deslauriers would receive 5 minute majors and the admiration of their teammates for their troubles.
