Rangers will reportedly sign three-time Stanley Cup champion goaltender
The New York Rangers are one of several teams on the look out for a backup goaltender in the free agent market starting at noon ET. Their backup from the 2022-23 season, Jaroslav Halak, has become an unrestricted free agent and is still looking to play next season, but won't be returning to the Rangers.
According to ESPN's Kevin Weekes, the New York Rangers will sign three-time Stanley Cup champion goaltender Jonathan Quick when the free agent market opens tomorrow.

Quick, 37, was dealt to Columbus by Los Angeles in March after parts of 16 seasons with the Kings. Reports suggested that Quick was not interested in playing for the Blue Jackets and one day after acquiring him, he was flipped to the Vegas Golden Knights.
The Milford, Connecticut native appeared in 41 games between Los Angeles and Vegas this past season where he had a record of 16-15-6 with two shutouts. Quick added his name to the Stanley Cup for the third time earlier this month as Vegas won for the first time in franchise history.
