Ottawa Senators sale set to break records
The potential sale of the Ottawa Senators have been a hot topic of discussion for a long time now and it seems things are getting close to reaching the end
According to Bruce Garrioch of TSN and Post media, with official on the Senators needing to submitted today, one reached an astronomical amount, take a look:
Can confirm @Sportico report there were four bids for the #Sens and one was at the $1 B mark. Have confirmed three of the bidders _ Andlauer, The Kimels and Sparks. I am told the owner of a hockey publication didn't bid. Working on the fourth.
With 3 bidders already submitting bids and one reaching the 1 billion dollar mark, the Senators if sold at that price hold the NHL record. The Pittsburgh Penguins currently hold the record having been sold for 900 million.
One things for certain, the new owners of the Sens will have some deep pockets and should be able to help the city of Ottawa immensely.
