With the trade deadline less than a month away now, Philadelphia Flyers General Manager Danny Briere will look to improve his team even more after what as been a surprisingly good season so far. We now know what he wants for a 29-year-old defenceman who will be a free agent at the end of the season, and it won't come cheap for any teams looking to shore up their bluelines.

According to Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff, Briere is looking for no less than a first-round draft pick to trade Sean Walker. Walker, who came to the Flyers from the LA Kings as a cap dump, is having one of his best seasons in the NHL in 2023-24, with 5 goals and 18 points in 51 games.

"The #Flyers are reportedly looking for a first-round pick in exchange for defenseman Sean Walker.

Will the market support that? We did a deep dive on Walker's game, trade comps and potential suitors on @DailyFaceoff."

While he's has been a pleasant surprise for the Flyers this season, a first-rounder for Walker could be hard to come by, unless Briere can find a team that has a big hole on defence and a chance to go deep in the playoffs.

Briere is also reportedly shopping Scott Laughton, who's been in Philadelphia his entire NHL career. He's also hoping for a first-rounder for Laughton, who has another two years left on his current contract at a cap hit of $3 million annually.
