A source has told TSN's Chris Johnston that it's a 98% chance that Kyle Dubas is hired by the Pittsburgh Penguins. Johnston added that while he doesn't have his percentage that high, things seem to be trending in the direction of Dubas landing a job with the Penguins.
Dubas, 37, reportedly met with the Penguins in Pittsburgh on Tuesday night and also spent some time with their captain, Sidney Crosby.
The news of Dubas meeting with the Penguins has irked many Maple Leafs fans. Dubas told reporters last week that he would either remain with Toronto or taken time off to spend time with his family because it's been a stressful year, adding that we wouldn't see him pop up in a new job the following week.
Pittsburgh has been without a General Manager since April 14th after firing Ron Hextall, as well as Brian Burke from his role as President of Hockey Operations.
«I've heard from people not directly involved in the situation that they believe it's like 98% he's going to be taking a job there (PIT). I'm not sure if I can place my own percentage quite that high, but it seems like things are trending in that direction.»
