Blues defenceman Torey Krug to miss entire 2024-25 season
St. Louis Blues defenceman Torey Krug is set to miss the entire 2024-25 season.
The St. Louis Blues were dealt a massive blow to their blue line on Tuesday morning as the team announced defenceman Torey Krug will miss the entire 2024-25 season with an ankle injury that requires surgery.
Krug's surgery will address pre-arthritic changes in his left ankle, the team said in a press release on their website this morning.
"St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today that defenseman Torey Krug will undergo surgery to address pre-arthritic changes in his left ankle that will result in him missing the entire 2024-25 season.
The decision to undergo surgery was reached following an effort to rehabilitate the injury through non-surgical interventions."
In 77 games last season, the Livonia, Michigan native registered 39 points (four goals, 35 assists), 32 penalty minutes and was a minus-31.
