Whether a goaltender signs with a new team or gets traded to said team, many times they will ask a trusted painter who they've possibly known for a while to create something which they can wear for the upcoming season. This season, Seattle Kraken Joey Daccord will wear a helmet that from a distance looks ordinary, but up close has a ton of intricate details.
Aside from the Kraken «S» Logo, the Seattle Kraken name adorns the crown of the helmet & the tones of blue and green along with the flakes throughout are incredible. If you don't pay attention, you'll miss the anchors throughout.
Since Daccord became a member of the Kraken in their first season of existence through the expansion draft he has had nothing but incredible artwork on his helmets and although that's a terrific testament to his painter, Daccord himself must get some credit as well. A good painter will brainstorm with the goaltender to find out what they are thinking for the new piece. After all, they'll be wearing it for an undetermined period.
Unfortunately, the twenty-seven-year-old Daccord hasn't had enough opportunity or success at the NHL level to date but is looking to change that. In 69 games played he holds a 22-27-13 record with a 2.77 goals-against average and .907 save percentage.
