According to reports, Creed Jones, 24 was riding on his motorcycle Friday night on highway 417 in the Ottawa region. Jones was travelling westbound shortly before midnight where he reportedly collided with another motorcyclist, 27 on a ramp. Unfortunately, Creed and the occupant of the other motorcycle was rushed to hospital where they both succumbed to their injuries and pronounced deceased.
No matter age or circumstances of a persons passing, these moments are incredibly sad for all that are involved. The hockey community is vast, but when a member of the community dies, many people are affected in various ways. Jones was a partner in Genesis Hockey, a hockey skills development business with former teammate Braeden who quoted the following about his friend:
Those of us at Blade of Steel are no different. We offer our sincerest condolences to the family members, former teammates coached and anyone else of Creed Jones who has been affected by this tragedy. We would be remiss if we didn't offer condolences to the family of the occupant of the other motorcycle involved. Each of you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
