NHL announces 4 teams set to play regular season games in Europe next season
The NHL is continuing to work on growing the game Internationally and to do that they have worked hard to grow the NHL's Global Series. The NHL has made it a regular trip since 2018, excluding the COVID seasons, and will continue the growth in 2023/24 season. While the annual Europe trip has always been on the schedule the league is also making their first trip to Australia as part of the Global Series.
Last season the NHL sent the Nashville Predators, San Jose Sharks, Colorado Avalanche and Columbus Blue Jackets to Europe and it was a resounding success. Today the NHL announced which teams would be making the trip to Europe next season.
The #Leafs, #Sens, #mnwild and #RedWings are going to Sweden in November. Four games at Avicii Arena in Stockholm.
The league will look to market some of their biggest European stars with William Nylander, Tim Stutzle, Kirill Kaprisov and Mortiz Seider all making the trip. This should be an unreal experience as the atmosphere in Europe is always next level for these sorts of games.
